It is notified that Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the next UGC-NET for Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Assistant Professor on July 2019 (Sunday). As per the revised scheme, the test will consist of two papers as below.

What is the CBSE UGC NET eligibility criteria?

  • For General Category contenders – 55% aggregate in Master’s Degree or Equivalent Degree
  • For ST/SC/OBC/ PWD contenders – 50% aggregate in Master’s Degree
  • The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by September 1991 shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e., from 55% to 50%) for appearing in NET.
  • A final year contender of Master’s Degree or passed out contenders whose result is still awaited is also eligible for UGC NET.

Question: What is the NET (National Eligibility Test)? 

Answer:  NET–  Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the next UGC-NET for Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Assistant Professor

Question: Who can appear in NET Exam 2019?

Answer: Candidates who have Indian Nationality, NRIs, Oversees citizen of India, Persons of Indian Origin & foreign nationals are eligible to participate in NET Exam 2019.

What is the Minimum & Maximum age of appearing in NET 2019 Exam? 

Answer: Age Limit: The maximum age limit is 30 years as on 1st January 2019.

Age Relaxation: 5 years relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided to OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PWD category contenders. Relaxation will also be given to the candidates having research experience.

Contenders possessing LL.M. degree will be eligible for 3 years relaxation in age.

Question: What is the Total no of Attempts for appearing in NET?

Answer: As far I could find online, there is not any restriction on the number of attempts for CBSE UGC NET exam, also not in the UGC NET web page.

Question: If I am choosing the Kannada Language of NET 2019 question paper, can I get center of examination in Rajasthan?

Answer: No, the candidates will be allotted center in the respective state.

Once the NET 2019 form is submitted, can I make the change in it?
